I switched computers a couple of weeks ago, and this is the only significant change that happened recently as far as I know. Now, in most CE multiplayer the game freezes after 10-30 seconds, and sometimes it unfreezes after a while and says I lost connection. My internet is fine (consistent pings, 15 Mb/s download, not in the middle of nowhere), CE is allowed through Windows firewall, I can graphically run the game okay, so if anyone has any idea what could be going on/has troubleshooting suggestions, it would be helpful.

Have you patched Halo CE up to V1.10? This could be the cause. Are you using Hac2 or open sauce, or both? This can sometimes cause problem with your game.

I'm simply stating that I play with the sniper on maps like bigass and bloodgulch, and that I do not act like the man in the video or do anything that he does whilst playing.

Well, I'm not sure exactly why that is, but I don't think that there is a problem with my YT or Google+ account

You should activate your reply comments in your account, back to the topic, maybe your grįphic card have some troubles, update your video drivers, that happened to me once.

I know these specs are mediocre, but this game can run on much worse hardware just fine (it came out almost 12 years ago). I am using ethernet when at my desk, but even when I'm not my internet connection and speed is pretty stable. I get the same match disconnects whether wireless or wired. I was able to play the game perfectly on my previous machine, again regardless of wired or wireless connection. I did a full drive clone both when switching computers and when moving over to the SSD I installed yesterday, so I am running HAC 2 on CE 1.0.10 just as I was before. I will try ensuring my graphics drivers are up to date and see if that does anything.
Edit: updating display drivers did not fix the issue.

Does single player crash? Describe how it freezes in more detail please?

No problems with single player. When it freezes, it just straight-up freezes. The screen stops on whatever frame is currently being displayed. It also loops whatever sounds are being created at that time. Then the match quits out and it says I lost network connection.

...I had that issue before actually. Its one of two things

1: Your graphics card cant handle the game for that long
2: Your computer is full of dust and needs to be cleaned

1. Your graphics card does not like old games.

Try switching from your graphics card to the onboard intel graphics which most pc's have.

Sadly Halo engine have several issues with new graphic cards, try with a low resolution

that's a lie Halo engine work's better with new graphic cards. you need to download DirectX look for older version of DirectX and microsoft visual c++ (date) redistributable older the better this is what I use soo I hope this helps
