Is it technically possible to create an infinite firefight map, where the waves and or rounds never end?

Yes. You can make a continuous script that calls upon a static void.

(global boolean waves 0)
(script static void the_ocean (set waves 0) (ai_place wave1) ;living count = 0 (ai_place wave2) ;living count = 0 (set waves 1) )
(script continuous waves_of_the_ocean (if (= waves 1)(the_ocean)) (sleep 15) )

Did you watch the video tutorial I linked you to in the last thread?
If you can get through that and use the stuff I provided you, you should be able to figure this out for yourself. That's a big reason why I made the video.
