I am not sure if this is the right spot to be asking but I'll go ahead an hope it is :)
Hey guys, I am having a strange issue with CMT The Silent Cartographer. Every time I launch it after I select my loadout I press play the intro cutscene begins only to freeze about a second in. The textures get all wacky and the sound gets stuck also. I don't understand why this is happening. My computer get unresponsive so I have to restart my laptop. My laptop is pretty good as it can run Halo at Max Settings (and on open sauce) almost at 30fps. I reinstalled the game yesterday so I could put a fresh copy of opensauce on it. I don't think the problem is opensauce as I can run other yelo maps such as Takedown: Project Lawson and I have no issues with it... I can't seem to figure it out. I downloaded the CMT SPV3 a50 Truth and Reconciliation Yelo but upon unzipping it found it corrupted: P this is second time I’ve downloaded that. Maybe something is corrupted in the CMT TSC yelo. I don't know... Any help would be greatly appreciated...I really would like to play this map!
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7548 Ram: 8 GB CPU: I7 5500u at 2.4 GHz Graphics: Intel HD5500 Edited by KF7ZSE on Apr 9, 2015 at 01:17 PM Edited by KF7ZSE on Apr 9, 2015 at 01:17 PM Perhaps you have a virus or unwanted adware on your system. I noticed that your pc uses an intel haswell graphics card there may be a compatibility issue in relation to OS. Or perhaps you are running a program which conflicts with halo?

I run virus scans every few days with AVG. I also use Malwarebytes Anti Malware. So I don't think it would be a virus...Like I said other Yelo maps are working and Opensauce seems to be acting fine...I don't have any programs running in the background execpt AVG...Very Strange Indeed.
EDIT: I redownloaded the CMT SPV3 a50 Truth and Reconciliation. Now I have the same problem with that map too. Freezing a few seconds after the intro starts... :P I could use some help here! Edited by KF7ZSE on Apr 9, 2015 at 05:38 PM Never have 2 antivirus programs. They F&&& up the comp. I would recommend to get rid of AVG, it is a system hog. Maybe get rid of both and go with Avast or Hitman Pro

SPV3 is open sauce only. If it happens with the current a50 release .yelo I will let the OS team know about this thread, but have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall?

I think it is windows 8 because I had this problem then went to windows 10 and it was fine. It's also somewhat playable in halo ce safe mode.

Never have 2 antivirus programs. They F&&& up the comp. I would recommend to get rid of AVG, it is a system hog. Maybe get rid of both and go with Avast or Hitman Pro Malwarebytes is not antivirus, but antimalware, and it's actually very common to see one antimalware installed alongside one antivirus for additional protection. According to Malwarebytes, their software has been tested alongside popular antivirus software such as Avast!. I have personally never had any issues having both antivirus and antimalware running unless either the antimalware or antivirus was a pile of crap, such as the pre-installed garbage that typically comes with prebuilt computers from large vendors such as HP and Dell (which is one reason why I never go near those horrible monstrosities). malware antibytes and avira are the way to go Hrmmm avira is sort of annoying in the way that keeps bugging you to update. Malware bytes does more of the same except I think that "UPDATE NAO OR DIE" feature can be turned off. Edited by Super Flanker on Feb 29, 2016 at 08:39 AM
