While all camera and object movement in Halo CE runs at 60FPS, all animations play at 30FPS. So while I was mucking about with CMT Extras in the 2012 a50.yelo, I noticed that the 2x speed option also doubles the framerate of animations. So, if animations were rigged to run at half their normal speed (along with every other variable, like movement speed or projectile speed) and the speed of the game world were doubled, the 30FPS animations at half speed would now run at 60FPS at normal speed.
