Testrun:

Some of you may remember an obstacle course map called Testrun. Well, I gave up on finishing it many years ago... but recently decided to remake it. It's currently about 50% complete. It will only be playable on the Race gametype. You can suggest obstacles and I might include them if it's possible.

Current obstacles
  • platforms over lava

  • deadly laser beams

  • giant bouncing grunt heads

I would suggest a large room with a breakable glass floor, and your goal is to get across the room without falling into a fiery pit of lava. The catch is that there are (boulders?) falling all around you and hitting the floor in random areas, causing the floor in that spot to break and if you are too close, you fall with it.

It wouldn't sync unless I made each breakable glass tile as a vehicle, and even still it would give quite the advantage to the person leading the race.

Dunno of the mapsize but you could just move the map and export them as each separate BSP(or could be one big BSP if the triangle count can handle it, that way you can have spectators for those who are joining in a game in-progress). I think that you think that this is some sort of map with minigames. It's not. Everyone does not play in the same area at once. You race through the obstacles to the next area, and when you get to the next area the other players don't teleport there with you.

A DeathRun map in CE? YES! You should make more of these honestly. I would love for these to also be featured at CE3.

Public beta testing will be on Saturday March 28th at 1:00PM Pacific Standard Time.

It's alright if you cannot make it at that time. The beta map will still be available for download and the server will still be running.



In the meantime I can still try to add a couple more player head selections, if people have any suggestions.

Current player heads: Captain Keyes, Default, JackFrost, Link, Mario, Mexican, Naruto, Pikachu, Pirate, Shrek, and X2.
