I want to decide what map would be good for a beta for my RTE project. Any idea's?
I'm leaning to Sanctuary.[Refuge]

I need a map with different types of gameplay, like T&R was for SPV3.

this is not very specific. what maps are being worked on? what maps even have decent progress to the point where they could have? what maps exist for this project AT ALL? :l

Tale this thread seriously, im interested in this, not just only the map but also the type of gametype, what kind if envirement you may want for a mp map, what kind of weapons, new ones or other halo games. A vehícle based or foot, Team based bsps o lone wolf types. Becausemany of you are the final users. I dont play mp maps because My 8kbs Internet conection doesnt help so please be more specific

it would help if you told us what you're actually doing with it. I have no idea what RTE stands for in this context. Rail TMA-2 Erryday? I'd play that.

RTE stands for Relive The Experience
The point is to re-master as many maps as we can, adding new gameplay elements, and re-texturing the maps. We are going to be using the SPV3 tagset.
For example, Prisoner (Renamed Captive) it has become a covenant map, and it is a malfunctioning Covenant prison. In area's and occasional shield will pop up (Like the ones you de-activate in T&R) trapping players inside.
Screenies coming soon.
We also plan to revise BSP's(Smoothen them out/Revamp the actual BSP.[e.g. Battle Creek Nothing major there, just changing ladders to ramps.

I think you should go with Rail TMA-2 Erryday instead.


anyways for the map choice you should do one that's not just a default halo 1 map 'cause people would probably just play the default one instead.

This isn't a bad idea as the map has close combat and far range as well.

I have decided to do sanctuary, it's pretty quick comparatively. I'm trying to add fun gameplay elements, I've been working on implementing VISR.
Sanctuary is Refuge
Prisoner is Captive
Valhalla is Olympus
Damnation is Abyss
Chill Out is Deep Freeze
Delta Ruins is DoomsDay
All of these are going to have cool new elemenets that re-imagine the CE universe.

These are some bold claims buddy. I hope you got what it takes to back it up. And why the SPV3 tagset? Have you done testing to ensure equal gameplay with it? The original one has been proven to provide a nice balance. If it's purely for aesthetics... I'm not convinced.

This seems like an interesting idea... but will it sync? Do you understand scripts necessary for such a task? And ultimately, will it provide better gameplay?
