You know the murderer gametyoe from GMod? Could we do something similar in CE? Like with SAPP?
Everyone spawns with an assault rifle with no ammo.
However one gets a sword.(This is the murderer)
One gets a magnum to defend the others. (You'd need a decently powerful one maybe a 3-4 shot)

Something i don't know if it can be implemented is the footprints.

I like the idea, although I'd probably make the bystanders unarmed, as opposed to carrying empty rifles. I've seen footprints done in CE before, but I doubt it could be made so that only the murderer can see them.

Should be pretty easy to do. Would just need a map with a weapon that has unarmed label.

Would you be able to switch from armed to unarmed??? I realize that AR's do melee damage!

footprints could be accomplished best by using footprint-shaped decals, which would be the most effective way, i'd say. that means, though, that they could only be visible on BSP elements

Been there done that. I have working footstep material effects including decals, but there isnt a way ive found to make the decals line up with footstep direction or angle. Best bet ive had so far is a fairly ambiguous circle shape, so the rotation isnt hilarious. Even still, with decals as a toggleable in video settings as well as the bsp only decal rendering having a gametype rely on them is foolish
