The drivers for the Xbox one controller are on major nelsons site. http://majornelson.com/2014/06/05/pc-drivers-for-the-xbox-one-controller-available-now/

I play ce with an Xbox one controller.

Edit: if the controllers light is on and it vibrates when you plug it in its working. You can set it up in game in halo.

We've done a lot of work with SPV3 getting controllers to work properly. You need to set out in console

player_magnetism 1
player_autoaim 1
set_pitch_rate .1
set_yaw_rate .1

In order to have the most Xbox like experience. Also its important to map grenade to left bumper, as the game doesnt like detecting 2 analog triggers being pressed at the same time. If you set grenade to left trigger, you will have to let go of the right trigger and then press the left trigger to throw a grenade (for SPV3 we suggest mapping Flashlight/AU/Warthog Healthpacks to left bumper).

I don't know if the current released version of OS supports this, but for SPV3 and Evolved we are releasing this file ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/rcyodr9izej18ic/configc.txt?dl=0 ) which goes in your CE directory, and automatically sets the games controller sensitivity on boot, but you can adjust the values in there to your liking.

Does this fix the movement (left stick)? That's what feels the most "off" like there's no walking - you just tilt the stick a bit and the player lurches forward.

Also does it require OS?

The dropbox file does but the rest can all be done normally. This only works for SP I may add, not for MP. at least it doesnt work right in MP for me. And yes, the movement is not an issue.
