while I can see the general feel you're going for I don't think that's an appropriate usage of space. Infact that would make the cockpit an even easier target for enemy forces. Ideally you could do what the covenant did and recenter the command center to a central sort of location on the ship, and then use multiple sightlines to cover the outer areas. Halo 4 kind of hit home with that in their frigates but their overall design felt very lackluster. If you could sort of hybrid those design concepts, you might have a very nice looking ship
