i made halo run even with the internet restricted like we were in a prison, if your using a school computer....
if you have a 3g hotspot and you are using a personal laptop you will be better off.... but either way.....

school computer
what you need to do if you got it to boot from usb... try to make it so that it would use a portable registry... and you have to ahve admin access to bypass the firewall... (if theyre paranoid about thatXD and a lot of times they are even though somehow they didnt restrict ports at my school (who knows why))
sometimes they limit the ports being used.... try using port 80 for server.... if the pcs are all newtworked together to discover each other you will have better luck.... good luck to you either way.....
