press F11 (in gmax, not so sure about 3DS max) and go heapsize += 30000000 (if you have 4 gig or more of memory, if you have 8 gig make it 7 not 3. the trouble is that the program only allocates a certain amount of ram to itself, the program cannot export because it has insufficient ram, heap size will increase this amount.

Quote: --- Original message by: Mootjuh Also you have max 8 so you can use blitzkreig as alternative Also you're not helpful and should stop posting. Blitzkrieg cannot export skin modifier rigs.

Elaboration: If you still gets that error, then it has too many triangles to be in HaloCE; optimize or get a better game engine. If you add too much heapsize then either 2 things will happen. 1. The command will not be accepted. ( -- Runtime error: Unable to increase heap size to: <exceeded numeral>) 2. Upon exportation, there will be no data written into the Listener, in turn Tool will reject it. (0Kb, ERROR: wrong version number) I just thought I'd elaborate in case he increases the heapsize limit too much and doesn't know why it didn't work. [:)]

[:)] actually no, heapsize simply increase ram usage by Gmax, if you get the run time error it is because your computer simply does not have the amount of ram to cover what you asked for, if the wrong version number pops up then its usually because you grabbed the listener while the chimp.ms was writing the data to the JMS file. there is no such thing as too much heap size. either you have enough ram to support what you asked for, or you don't. the more ram the larger the file the program can compile. although yes, if you are getting that error it means that you have a very large map, that might be because you have too many polygons, but its not always the case.

If you have 3ds Max 2011 or higher you should try exporting with Junglegym by Sprinkle. It is an actual plugin so it exports much faster and has all (or at least most iirc) of the features of Bluestreak. Plus it supports animation exporting. https://github.com/sprinkle131313/junglegym/releases/

I got the exporting working and it's actually in the game.
But it's asking me for animation.
Does anyone know the command for compiling the animation?

Quote: --- Original message by: SleepStalker117 But come on man! The guy has a fricken half life model! He should of been designing stuff from halo 3 or sh.t Look, in order to learn you have to emulate and evolve from there. This guy hasn't produced a biped since late, and isn't a super elite mapper within CMT. He is like nearly 87% of us learning by first re-creating then hopefully creating works of our own.
