A few days ago I was looking for something on a old harddrive and managed to find some old scenarios and tags for a map called Geomar. You may remember it from when TM was still working on Lumoria. I've spent the past couple of days going back, extracting the BSP, adjusting some stuff, and getting it ready for some playtesting. The map was originally planned and modeled by Conscars, the Sky Artist who makes all the pretty skys for CE. He handed it off to me and I shaped up the terrain quite a bit, polished it up got it ingame and populated it.

Heres some pictures:













I'll be working on a time and a server later on, probably this upcoming weekend, for play testing. This map is big, so I need alot of people to help out! Add me on xfire if your interested: higuy5.

Thanks for the interest guys! I'm currently working on adding some stuff like playerclipping (didnt extract with BSP), background scenery in the water, and some minor adjustments to the navigation of the level. After that, it'll be ready to test :O

...but make it heavier? I remember being able to board it once in Episode 1, and it was probably the easiest vehicle for me to flip ever.

mp_mystery_machine has been made! Removed the destroyable effect, health, meter, etc. Can hold up to 4 dudes. 1 driver, 1 gunner, 1 dude on each wing. Also added some background geometry to the level, added in playerclipping as well... its pretty much ready to test!

e: tested a tank. Drives nicely around the map - but I think it might only be appropriate for slayer + ctf, and only as a vehicle that spawns in the middle. Like I said, going to play with the idea!

They are. This is also in the original Lumoria as well, always been set up that way.

Looks nice, i really like lumoria visual style. it will be great map for sniper team slayer and ctf. beach can be cool with a crashsite... i love crashsite ^^. Good work.

Did you ever think of making the general tint of the shader/map elements less linear ? I think they are quite monotonic at the moment

Did a small test today with a few people to make sure all gametypes ran alright. Also got a list of things I'm going to fix and then its off to the big beta!

You should put the tank in - if people don't want to play with a tank, they can edit the gametype to disable it. Better to leave that choice to the server hosts.

Also, consider using the Shadow in the Gun Turret's slot. Again, this will allow hosts to specify how many of each vehicle type they want.

Dratt will probably have a stroke if we have to do another one of those AI heavy updates.
