So... You do realize console "peasants" do have computers, usually gaming PCs... I think it's more like PCPoorRace. If you can't afford a console it doesn't mean a console gamer can't afford a gaming PC, in fact most likely he has both.

I'm not sure how many console "peasants" you know but the majority I see have only one platform and it's usually console. Maybe it's just where I live because the majority of people here don't exactly have the most money. I have owned several consoles over 11 years. I'm not sure where "PCPoorRace" comes from.
FYI just so you know everything above you was a joke but you know that right.

Why yes.

Like the 14 regulars of halomaps boycotting the masterchief collection is really going to put a dent in the multimillion-consumer halo market.

What is PS2? Nothing, it died during the console wars and was replaced by PS3. I'm just making a joke.

Yeah it died during The Fall of Playstation.
What happened? Destruction of every PS1, Death of the PS2 and survival of one PS3. No thanks to the Xbox 360. Still a joke :)

It died as a legend though.

All I remember from my playstation days is Spyro but that's about it. Can't remember too much of my childhood involving the ps2. I need to replay that game one day for nostalgia.

Yeah, let's make it for PC, so pirates will get it for free... seriously, I don't have an Xbox One and I'm not going to buy one, but it would be a terrible choice porting the game for PC now that Microsoft desperately needs to sell its console
Edited by SOI_7 on Aug 12, 2014 at 01:20 PM

Game piracy is a near non-issue in terms of profits.

Okay most of you ladies badly want MCC on PC, right? even I do! but if you want it to happen don't order MCC at all so the sales can go down and then Microsoft will be biting their nails and crapping their pants because they are so intimadated that no money coming in.

So Microsoft will be "Mmm let's just put this on PC and see how the sales goes"

Who like this idea?

So a minority of the fan base doesn't buy the game, they loose about 0.001% of sales... like that's going make a difference. Think realistically here...

All these people moaning about console exclusives, just get the damn console, it's not that expensive...

Not when you work ~30 hours a week on a minimum wage job and actually do something.

:/

At minimum wage you make about 1200 a month when working a 40 hour work week. Now see how much you have left over after rent, groceries, utilities, etc...

400 is a lot for a single purchase to anyone who's not making more than 9 bucks an hour .-.

e: fixed some maths, am actually above minimum wage a bit so skewed things a bit

It's a brick that isn't necessary and costs 400 dollars to solely play Halo for most people. Totally worth it! We must come from very different backgrounds or something because 400 is a lot even if you have a job and are living with your parents.

I won't disagree with you about it being particularly difficult but it does require a fair deal of endurance since we are priming, sealing and dura coating up to 150 frames at any one time.

Not sure exactly what that has to do with the subject. Mind explaining?

Money is money. In the end it does matter how much it costs, 400 dollars is alot to spend on something that may not actually be entertaining and hold its value over the next few years (e.g, I rarely use my xbox nowadays), especially when only a select few games that have been shown that seem promising so far. Thats not also including if your on a tight budget or don't make much money either. I make a decent amount of money by working 40hrs a week, and I can easily afford one, but I personally don't think its a solid investment at all (possibly in the future, but doubtful). Same could be said about the PS4 (although personally I think it so far has a better selection of interesting games to play on it). If you really want a solid investment to play games and be entertained, buy/build a gaming PC. From my point of view at least, its a more solid investment, especially when you can do much more than just "game" on it, e.g work stuff, school stuff, etc. And the games are much cheaper when you have solutions like Steam available, the humble bundle, etc...

Ya I used to be a console gamer and I was planning to get the xbox one, but 500 is a little steep along with the 60$ for the game. Too bad, I really wanted to forge Halo 2, but what would be even better is the ability to make content for Halo 2 and Halo 3, and the crazy people who like Halo 4. Things like single player maps etc. But, even IF Halo: MCC does make it to PC, I doubt (again) that each game in the package will have a editing kit.

xbone is $400 now. You don't have to purchase it with the kinect. But people should buy whatever they want, it's their money. If something is valuable to them, then let them buy it. This world would be boring if people have the same preferences. I mean, people buy based on their incentives anyways. You can't really control that unless you offer something that does exactly the same thing or more for a lesser value.

I remember when I was in third grade and I learned about double negatives for the first time. I'm guessing the person who made this thread had no such experience. In any case, I guess I'd better do what the thread title says and go buy the MCC day one.
