I would start out modding with that bungie gave us, and when you get the hang of everything then start to play with other tags then eventually make your own!

Get ready to do a lot of reading, because knowledge can come through experience, but I got most of mine by reading tutorials.
Just google forum.halomaps with a couple keywords on the topic you want to know about and there's bound to be hits. I started out by understanding how BSPs work. It's a nice place to start. Please don't release any box maps though. God knows we have more than enough of those. |
