I got some more questions.

Is there a way to duplicate an encounter? (So I don't have to place 250 firing positions with over 15 ids and create 30 squads all over again.)

How do you respawn the player in a singleplayer map? I'm assuming they never actually die.

How do you create custom pause menu menus?

How do you create buttons onscreen? (i.e. the loadout selection buttons after you die in firefight descent)

Can you make a squad use certain firing positions to travel to others? (say I have spawn point a and destination point b. There is a path between them with firing positions c. How do I make them travel using c to b?

mooseguy and pepzee might know about the buttons, btw it involves some UI trickery and sprite creation.

And btw, ctrl + c ctrl + v place around 5 encounters. Then copy them all and paste them in again and move the pasted encounters somewhere else.

Well, I'm not completely sure but there's no way you can respawn after you die (not sure how mooseguy and pepzee did it in descent though...) but easiest way would be to give the player the deathless cheat right at the beginning of the game, and teleport the player to a certain flag after health has gone to almost 0 (if you dont want to use checkpoints)

You can copy an encounter in Guerrilla

Just use (game_save) to make a checkpoint. They should respawn there. If you want a Descent system, its a lot more complicated and youd have to look at those scripts.

You'd have to edit the stock UI pause widget. Its complicated.

They use the UI widget for a30. Each map has them. Just place your level under levels/a30 and then use the script (display_scenario_help 1). The menu that pops up will be ui/shell/solo_game/pause_help/pause_help_screen_a30.widgetsomething. You can edit that widget to be a loadout screen. See Descent.

You would have to make a new squad for c and leave everything blank but the firing position spot. Make it all cs. Then use the script (ai_migrate encounter/squad encounter/squadc)
