I was thinking that even halo CE can get boring at times, I was thinking about using a emulator and running a halo (offline) on it. Would I have to divide my RAM?

Are you asking if you can have 2 halo copies running at once? One on a virtual emulated PC and one on your own PC? If so yes you can and yes you will have to divide the ram up. Halo is a 10 year old game and does not use much RAM so you should be fine.

You could always buy an Xbox

that'd be too convenient though

Actually Emulation for the original Xbox is possible. http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/xbox/ (Note* its not super stable, and artifacting will be a huge issue. So probably not worth it.)
Now Xbox360? Nope. trying to make Xenon/PowerPC architecture programs work on a x86 based system like our computers is incredibly power consuming and currently not possible.
Which is funny because both the Xbone and PS4 are x86 based, meaning a emulator for the "next-gen" consoles is more likely than the past ones.

Oh, so emulation for the 360 is not possible? I did not know that... Getting a Xbox 360 or One would be nice, but despite my 16 years of age, my parents do not trust me with one, they are not big fans of GTA(think GTA is only for the Xbox ) So I cannot play Halo 4 on the PC, odd, considering the xbox is just an old pc.... I want halo to be for PC but Xbox fans keep saying "No" because they want to be special. Is halo 3 for the original Xbox? I would get that. But would I have to divide my RAM?

Ladies and gentlemen. The average IQ of an XTawt. Hell I think that this guy was in an interview with RXL. Proof here.

Wow, the unnecessary hostility. He was probably genuinely curious, although he could have researched half of those thing himself.
Also an Xbox fanboy? Did you even read the post you quoted?

No halo 3 was for the 360, unfortunately there are no 360 emulators yet. There are PS3 ones though. You would need a decent gaming computer to run one of the newer generation consoles.

Way to take an over exaggerated statement seriously (Though my point still stands about him being a retard).

Sigh. What was gained by making this comment?
This Community is not exactly growing exponentially, and new members can grow and take in ideas and contribute to this place. Yet you decide to be incredibly malicious, which is quite the deterrent (especially for younger people who don't or can't deal with those situations *this person has even said previously to be only 16*)

I'm not sure how old you are but the ages from 16-17 I believe I matured greatly. These were the times where I started actually critically thinking and thirst for understanding.
Maybe he will grow to be a great mapper, or programmer. Who knows?!
But keeping a positive attitudes in forums I think foster a greater environment for creativity, so lets both tone it down a bit, eh?

MS is currently working on a 360 emulator... wouldn't be strange that once the ONE gets an emulator (x86) the 360 one will be available too... probably will be resorce consuming, though.

Yeah, I guess that but, I have 8 gb RAM should be able to take it,I don't wan't divide though, If I did I would upgrade to a 12- 16 RAM or something insane like that.

The reason I find that odd, is that isn't the Xbox just an old PC? Why would It take 16gb RAM?I mean I love Custom edition, but it just does not have great graphics, which is O.K. I suppose, but nether does it have all the vehicles and weapon as other halos, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Halo 2 the only one were you can dual weapon right? I didn't love that, I think you should only be able to dual use pistols...

But it is in that resolution, but does not say there is a 1366 resolution available...

This is what I said to you in an PM a day ago.
Quote: As I said in my post the Xbox 360 is and Xenon/PowerPC architecture machines which is not the same at all as our x86 based systems,, so no an Xbox is not just an older PC.

This is what I wrote in the thread.

The 360 isn't an old PC, it's OS can't be ran on the PC you have at home.

to answer your other questions Halo 2 and 3 had dual wielding.
And your resolution in-game depends on the monitor you are playing on (Which I'm going to guess is 1366x768)
And the resolution that your graphics card is out putting at.
I own a 1366x768 monitor. I can run halo at 1366x768 the option is clearly there for me.
Make sure you know what resolution your monitor is and what resolution your gfx is out putting at.

I think the only emulator for a console in the 2000s that isn't a handheld that doesn't require a boatload of alien hardware to run is the gamecube and wii, other than that, im not sure xbox is stable
