hey guys, so the update is available, but will OS work with it? I don't want some of my maps to be unusable like spv3 a50 beta or any of my other .yelo maps, idc if hac doesn't work but just in case, will it?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if you have HAC2 and 1.09, you'll still be able to get the new server list (the main point of the new patch). So technically you shouldn't have to update, just use HAC2 + OS + 1.09.
Again, I might be wrong.

Again, I might be wrong. Thing is that hac crashes halo on startup now, so now idk what to do because I mainly stand with os

Check HAC's troubleshooting page at blog.haloanticheat.com and search for your error, I can't really relate - I didn't have any trouble. What did you do to remove OS? Re-locate the .dll?

I haven't touched any files with OS, not since I first installed it with the old installer
heres the list of what happens when I include hac in my controls folder and then start halo up, the series of boxes are as follows
"Direct3D hooks failed. try disabling OpenSauce temporarily" "Unable to load HAC! Error code: 998" "Failed to locate MTV patch location"
that's what happens suddenly. so it must be the conflicting plugins
troubleshoot doesn't say anything Edited by rcghalohell on May 21, 2014 at 01:53 AM

Try disabling OS temporarily, launch halo so HAC2 auto-updates. The new version is supposed to be compatible with OS (new version came out yesterday). Also, are you on 1.10? If so, you need to disable OS, it isn't compatible with 1.10 yet.
