FAQ.

Q1. "Are these completely yours?"
A1. "Sprites, muzzle flash assets, and tags were all done by scratch"

Q2. "Was anyone else involved?"
A2. "yoda for making me do more, and initially peaking my interest. And also thanks to IFAFUDAFI and Masterz1337 for the effect reference guides.

Q3. "Will these be available to the community? Or are you just a selfish POS living off your dad's 6 figure salary?
A3. "DAFUQ you on brah? of course these will be released to the community, so long as I receive feedback and credit in my work."

Q4. "Are you a 1 trick pony?"
A4. "Nope after the AR I plan to move on to the SG, then the pistol and after doing so any other human weapons. Naturally I will progress to the covenant side of life, and once my seed has firmly been planted within the h3 tagset I will move on to another set.

Q5. "I have some weapon tags, but I don't know how to make a effects for them, could you help?"
A5 "Sure! PM me your tags, tell me what you want and I will see what I can do for you"

Q6. "Tutorials?"
A6. "Once I finish the H3 tag set, I will pour all my knowledge into a bunch of 1 hour videos"

1.) How close is the relation between my effects and bungies?

2.) Does anything require color toning?

3.) Have I missed anything?

4.) Would you be willing to use my work in your tags?

First off all. It looks pretty descent ! If I remember good, nothing of it need color toning. And I want to say it's awesome, keep it up !

Hey , I was looking the H3 weapons that I extract from H3 Foundry (Yes in other words I ripp the map ) and I wanna ask you if you can help me with there firing effect...

Looks massive, would like to see it toned down in size a bit. Maybe to .6 or .7 of what it's currently at. Otherwise it looks pretty nice, though I'm not a particle guy so what the heck do I know.

I'm glad you declared this, it gives me a chance to explain my work.

1. I used one official Bungie resource, cut it up into little ribbons and patched it back together to make sprite permutations of the mona lisa, I could have easily just patched together numerous bungie assets into a few cmt tags and showed them off.

Instead I used my nouse, to create my own completely custom content before working my way into tags, it can be deemed an emulation of sorts for h3 but not a complete copy.

2. Halo 3's particles harbor a specific dynamism which is frustratingly hard to replicate. You may take examples from: bloom and lighting, shape and configuration, animation and character and various other properties. This allows the bungie team to pretty much use 1 bitmap and get a whole load of use out if it.

Where as with our .tags we have to work harder to achieve the results which we want, in most cases you have to animate the a series of bitmaps you are using your self, instead of animating them in tag form to get the desired results.

4. Lastly, a majority of the halo 3 weapon particles have a slight angle added to them. This is of course because no fp weapon actually faces "true front". Where as my particles do, another thing to take into account is color, all though it doesn't seem important it's the last hurdle you have to over come to get an epic emulation.

I am aware that the color isn't 100% spot on, the side flashes which form an inverted star could be toned down from a harsh orange to a soft peach. But the main flash is very close to the original.

If I get more than 2 requests to continue altering the ar effects, I will lend a close ear.

Sparks for the AR?

That would be a no, I have too many particles inside the Ar's effect tag.

(30% of game modding is looking back on your work and eliminating the excess)

The only conceivable way I could add them is by modifying the sprite image in PS.

Sparks for the shotgun is something I AM looking at however.

I'm not too serious about the effects, a few changes DO need to made, but overall for something I wasn't taking too seriously there passable.
