I downloaded the game ranger app. It honestly sucks. It has no aspect what so ever. Its a super bland Xfire is all it is.

Its appearance is bland, it plays ads before you join a room, it has adds that get in the way on the UI. Its honestly terrible. I'll stick with Xfire and skype.

This doesn't seem official. They are making money with ads and I bet it won't track servers any better than Xfire could with instant joining...

You shut your whore mouth. It's not designed to be a social platform; its primary function is as a tunneling software for titles developers have given up on. A P2P serverlist, in a way. I'd love to see you get that in Xfire or Skype.

It's another third party solution. Think of gameranger as more or less a gamespy-esque master server in executable form.

or you can use this if you don't like the 3rd p app http://forum.halomaps.org/index.cfm%3Fpage=topic&topicID=45604 I did test this for OpenSauce and this works as my spelling is not the best so it well take a day or so to put in text form as how it works for OpenSauce

It's great to know there's another third party app out there if I don't like third party apps.

I guess I have better reason to keep GameRanger.

The only thing I've used it for is Ages of Empires 2 with my buddies back in middle school.

I've used gameranger once. Full of servers with hax.

It got to a friend that doesn't even play Halo CE. It is something.

You had to modify something to get it to work, if you can pm me the file you changed and where to put it i would be greatful. Thanks.

Yea xfire does that to. It shows all my favorited servers.

Once again people Gameranger did not save halo, all it is a bland application that shows people playing servers using the application. You can get the same benefit from xfire. Sure this shows all the players using gameranger, while Xfire only shows friends. So no Gameranger did not save CE.

Honestly I will not use it. Having to watch an ad before joining a server is highly annoying.

So if you wish to add me on xfire and play in the servers I'm in then go ahead.

Does it really only support games hosted by Game Ranger users?

Wow and to imagine PC Gamer posted an article that's being reposted everywhere saying that Game Ranger is saving Halo:CE.
