i tried putting H3 MC in UDK, it looked pretty neat even though i really didn't do much. in terms of porting a map into UDK, forget it. your gonna go nowhere.

No.

Though Patxi mentioned to me something on xfire on how dark spartan broke halo's code and he has animations from a few halo console games.

That looks even better than some Halo 4 cinematics.

UE4 materials are very intuitive, and I have to admit its not particularly difficult to get them to look atleast somewhat nice.

What we did was that we basically used the spec map to allow for reflections and shine, while using envprobes to capture local reflections and place them onto anything within it's influence radius (also an extremely easy thing to do)

The gameplay is very basic, just the basic FPS setup right now. However that will be changing in due time as both of us learn more (Blueprint is awesome, nuff said)

Again with the same question did anyone successfully managed to extract the sound effects of Invasion, and then I'm talking about the intro, core stolen core taken, alpha bravo charlie under attack, lost and win dialog's. from all the MP maps I cant extract them, and yes I know that you are going to say well if you cant extract them from any maps then they cant be extracted, but on a side note there are some models that cant be rendered by adjutant on my pc but are able to be rendered on my laptop, so don't be a elite about that and just tell me if anyone had any success with Invasion or firefight game-type dialog's.

Okay what map is it you need the sounds to be extracted from ? I'll check it out for you.

People have been able to extract those sounds for ages. Have a look for yourself and let me know if you have problems with a specific one.

Hey, what are the tracer's (or bullets) bitmaps called inside of reach? Are they the fx/bitmaps/weapon_fire/gradients?

The only tracer you really need is the Sniper contrail, you can just use a plane with a gradient texture for the rest.

But no all those are under contrails, not gradients. Textures are greyscale and are colored with a radial gradient. this allows for cheap as heck muzzle flashes and more space for other effects

Same here. It's already been confirmed that Animations are near impossible right now. It was even said on Jan 22nd that it's not possible at the current time.

I am skeptical about this post on Animation viewing.

I imported the model and textures. Then attached bumps to textures.
It not mind blowing or anything, but I am happy.
Its still black and white so I need to color it and do some spec thing
for some reflectivity. There is a first time for everything.


Looking pretty cool man! Though the player scale MIGHT be a bit off, it's starting to look rad.
I also have UE4 and am working to learn Blueprint more. If you want to I can try to help with a bit here or there. PM me or let me know what you think.
