I kinda like that Carbine...

yeah i'm with u and masters, i think it looks quite nice. it's like they did what H4 attempted, make the covie weapons look more alien, but it also feels like the old h2 and 3 carbine, brilliant!

To be honest, I was serious. Installation 01 is actually something I am really looking forward too, and if you realize that Contigency is made by a TEAM and Installation 01 by just ONE guy then, yeah, both are extremely good. Also, cry-engine is designed to make the most ugly game beautifull. We can't say anything untill we play them both. And Jesus Christ stop disscuraging people!

Ummm... I01 is also made by a team... I'M ON IT

I wonder if they got flood in the game.

I am hoping steam would accept this if the game played perfect just look at black mesa.

steam wont accept this, if they did they would be facing a massive lawsuit from Microsoft.

i highly doubt that they have any flood. they have said nothing about animated characters yet. i personally think that installation 01 will be more sucsessful

Greenlight is an option but we'd definitely need permission from microsoft to launch on steam, even though we're going F2P.

There were talks about using the Flood, but the Flood are a hit-and-miss kind of deal; they either work real well or they flat-out don't fit at all. There have been some interesting ideas and new concepts, though.

also, we do have animated characters.

BTW I have a question for you master noob. Have you ever done anything in Unity? I'm not asking for you to join my team, your way to busy with contingency.

Master noob. I was wondering if i am officially on the Contingency team because i have had no clues, full answers or any idea on what has been done with this project or what needs to be done in the project other then then do a bit of this and that.

Not excited yet...

They haven't shown off anything to excite me yet. All I see so far is halo stuff in the Cry Engine, simple stuff. They haven't shown true effort yet.

They need to be more open about the development like installation 01. If they did that this leak wouldnt happen.

But more of a closed development would mean for bigger and better surprises. I personally like stuff like that (which is why you haven't heard anything about TD:E since announced).

If you keep it open and just reveal everything then when you're playing it there are no surprises.

But hiding everything can ruin the hype. There is no hype what so ever for this. When it comes out nobody will care.

Well you can't keep hype built for years. There is a time for everything and they should hype it more when it's closer to release. Of course they have to put some things out eventually but if they put something out now and the project won't come out for another 2 years then people will still just forget about it.

It makes a lot of sense to do what they did. Announce it and show an initial teaser. This builds ground-hype and if they need any help with whatever, they can ask for help while showing what they worked on. Then they work on the project - no longer needing any help or additional hype as they keep doing stuff. Then towards the last few months of production they bring everything back up and get people excited again.

This was featured all of [insert gaming "journalism" site here] and everyone there forgot about it in less than a few days. With or without new videos (since all of "journalism" sites wouldn't post every update for them)

CE3 (WHICH YOU TAKE A PART IN) follows this same model. We work on something for a while in secret (July-Jan), we then announce it getting people slightly aware (first announcement podcast in Feb), then we just do nothing. That's it. We sit and do nothing until June. We might put out another podcast in the meantime but its not really about anything. Then in June we start putting out more and more trailers until the air time.

No chunkier bean, contingency won't join your failure team. Beside Cry engine 3 is better go do some research.

If you could read, I never stated that I wanted Contingency to join my team. I was only asking mater noob's opinion on the Unity engine itself. And yes I have done my research.

you made a statement that about installation is perfect than contingency.

Don't think you special. At least contingency got microsoft and 343i.

Really? Where is it stated that Microsoft and 343i support/and or work on Contingency?

I won't be surprised if Contingency gets a C&D eventually, I doubt MS or 343 would ever back or promote a mod for anything that wasn't their own.

Its not a mod.....

Is this not being designed for one of the Crysis games?
