for my Halo Combat Evolved for PC.. whenever I click to run with NVidia High Performance graphics (NVidia 525m 1Gb of Video Memory) or with Integrated Graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4000)... the start up screen freezes and I only hear the main menu music.. when I press the enter button or move my mouse around I can hear the sound of the switching of game options.. its like the game main menu is going but I cannot see the game menu.
I tried going to NVidia graphics card control panel and go to program settings and look for anti-aliasing settings, then choose to turn off all anti-aliasing.)when I launch the game, the game screen still freezes.
Please help Feature Setting Ambient Occlusion Not Supported for this application Anisotropic filtering 2x Antialiasing -FXAA OFF Antialiasing -Gamma correction OFF Antialiasing - Mode Override any application setting Antialiasing - Setting Use Global Setting (Application-controlled) Antialiasing - Transparency OFF CUDA-GPUs Use global setting (All) Max pre-rendered frames Use global setting Multi display/mixed-GPU acceleration Use global setting Power management mode use global setting Texture filtering - anisotropic sample ON Texture filtering - negative LOD bias clamp Texture filtering - Quality Use global setting (Quality) Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization use global setting (On) Threaded optimization Use global setting (Auto) Triple buffering ON Texture filtering - Anisotropic filter optimization OFF vertical sync use global setting
See anything wrong along those lines guys?
and yes I created an account to get help from you guys... I've been lurking around here since CMT was in their prime (2009) to be exact

You should try turning off anisotrophic sampling.
I am not sure if CE has support for that. Edited by Dumb AI on Nov 1, 2013 at 09:47 PM

Antialiasing - Mode Override any application setting
Change this to "Application-Controlled"

Not wanting to thread jack but I've got a similar problem that recently started occurring. After starting CE, the game goes to a black screen, switches to the Halo 1 background for a second then goes back to a black screen. I don't hear music or any other sound from the normal menu. Using an ATI card by the way. Edited by Kozakuu on Nov 2, 2013 at 02:13 AM
