I'm an Infant Noob again after installing CE on another Fresh HD. My shooting is way off. and i was getting pretty good before all of this. at least in the top 5 in score among average players.
I blame it on new settings, must be a file in my old Halo folder that enhanced gameplay. If there is, let me know. This game is no fun right now.

i do seem to be closer to the ground though, perhaps it's camera settings, but i don't see no where to change that. I didn't mess with the resolution yet though.

Are you leading? A lot of servers have that leading patch plugin, and sometimes that got a bit buggy for me. If not the adjust how much lead you are giving to a target

Leading is where you shoot in front of targets to compensate for high ping, this was always in halo across all versions of it. The server plugin I was talking about is sort of a soft fix for leading but last time I played a server with it several months ago it was a bit buggy still. If you really don't know how much lead you need to give a target then try getting an aimbot and study how much lead it gives a target verses ping (be careful of being banned though, also don't use it to cheat -_- no shooting)

You're actually advising him/her to download a cheat program? It's not that hard to get the shots right.

Leading your shots means you have to shoot where you enemy would be in a few milliseconds, depending on how high your ping is (ping = connection delay between you and the server). Check ping from the score menu (F1 by default I think). The higher the ping, the greater the distance. Here's a video I found. Some servers have this fixed with a plugin with so you can just directly shoot players like in single player. If you are not sure if you should lead or not, in text chat type "/lead 0" without the quotation marks to find out. There will either be a server message for you or in the other case if nothing happens and you will just end up saying /lead 0 in chat you know you have to lead your shots. Hope this helped!

Yeah. I said if he's really having trouble leading then he could try using it. I used an aimbot at first to see how much lead that everyone meant I should lead a target with. It's not really cheating if you just use this for learning purposes, I said not to shoot anyone using it.

But then again a better solution would be to watch a video about it like the one you linked, since so many servers have aimbot protections anyway and you'd probably just get banned now.
