Lol that entire post was based around opinions where you brand certain aspects of the game as 'awful' and 'horrible' and 'bland' without any actual backing to your statements. Halo 4 was an excellent shake up to the typical Halo franchise as it added a whole new theme to the game, specifically the Prometheans. The alien weaponry seemed new and exciting where they formed in your hands, and it introduced a new play style with the new enemy types. The multiplayer may seem non-competitive at this point since so many people dropped the game, but the months after release I found it the most fun since Halo 3, with the increased speed that sprint brought to the game and instant respawn. Also, the guns may sound like they are 500 years old (modern guns), but that was because their sound team recorded audio from actual firearms which gave the new Halo weapons a crisp new powerful feel that was lacking in previous games. Loud guns might sound old 500 years from now, but that doesn't make them sound any less terrifying.

So please, mr. 1-week-from-now rcghalohell, drop some honest un-biased gamer advice that makes Halo 4 not worthy of game of the year. Here's a list of games released in 2012, and please, feel free to look through it and pick out something more worthy of the title, and give some reasoning to it.

I am so sick of the Halo community acting like children hating on their stepparents. If you don't like the Halo game for some odd reason, then don't play it. That doesn't mean the little smidgen of us that do are obligated to listen to your crap constantly throughout the day.

I definitely agree, though I'm going to stay with Master Noob about the alien weapons sounds. 343i should have recorded real weapons for the UNSC weaponry, and make the Covenant weapons in digital. Most of them sound too clunky, and the ones that don't sound metallic are even worse. When I play Halo 4 I never use the Storm Rifle or the Beam Rifle, because their firing sounds make my ears bleed ;-;
I'd save just the Carbine, the Needler, the charging sound of the Plasma Pistol, and the Concussion Rifle.

The MA5 assault rifle from Halo uses a cartridge that saw service during the Vietnam War. The UNSC still uses a pump-action shotgun and conventional ballistic weaponry. This might explain why the UNSC's "future guns" sound like guns from the present day.
