basically, i have one .max file that i want to combine with another

so i use the merge option to bring it onto my viewport

there are some options that i had to chose from when i went to merge the files and i went through all of them to see what would happen

So i used auto rename merged material because it's the only one that doesn't mix up the bitmaps





Then i used get material in the map editor to get to this







I dragged that into the map editor and made a new ID for it.






This Method didn't work, only one object showed up in Sapien


so i tried another way
I Dragged the info from the "Get Material" field into the second Material window





This didn't work either

I tried Attaching the 2 Objects also ...nothing worked
Only one object shows up in Sapien.


any help would be appreciated.

Are both objects linked to the frame?

Yes they are

after messing around with it in Sapien, i found that the other levels is there, it's just not in plain site at the same time with the other.....which is weird.

From above with the camera view, you'll only see 1 object. You have to pass through that 1 object at a pacific spot in order to magically get to the other (unless there is a better way.

Does anyone know why this is so ?

and can i adjust Sapien in some way to view both at the same time ?

That's because of clusters. It optimizes the triangle count etc.
