Greetings. Today, I have been trying to compile the latest build of one of my maps and I keep getting this:
cache file 5.27M too large (should be 128.00M but was 133.27M)
Is this the "tag space" issue that I keep hearing about, or is it something else? Because this map doesn't contain a terrible amount of new content, nothing compared to some of the CMT SPV2 levels that are available.

Indeed it is. It is just a modded Bloodgulch with AI and new content. Surely, more can be added. How are maps like Extinction and Hugeass made if tool won't compile maps of a certain size? Edited by austen1000 on Sep 15, 2013 at 01:40 PM

SPV2 did not use Open Sauce. CMT began using it with SPV3. I guess I'll find something to delete, or just use Open Sauce (most likely the latter, since I planned on using it anyways). Any good tutorials on using the OS HEK? Edited by austen1000 on Sep 15, 2013 at 02:12 PM

If you can just swap a couple tags/bitmaps/sounds w/e from being custom (contained in the .map) to using the default assets that are contained within the bitmaps.map or sounds.map or w/e. That will reduce the map file size.

Alright, thank you waffles for the link. Took me some time to get it figured out, but, now, I have compiled my first .yelo level. This map is just a test bed. I'm not going to be just another mapper who just makes maps out of Bloodgulch. I much more planned than that. I'll be making a public announcement before the year is out that will go into detail on what I plan on doing.
