[UPDATE] Following the publication of this story, Microsoft confirmed the Halo 4 Game of the Year Edition. More details about the new version of the game will be shared on Sunday.

"A 'Game of the Year Edition' of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place," a Microsoft spokesperson said in a statement. "We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday."

not when you have all the DLC all ready it only help people who don't have halo 4 so i guess a lot of the people on halo maps that do nothing but bag it might want to look at this

I kinda wish Microsoft would put some slack on 343's leash. Sure not so many people play Halo 4 anymore, but that's because it's been almost a year since it came out. This stuff happens to games. One reason people are so excited for a new halo game is because the content they love is coming back new and refreshing. If we're getting new halo stuff thrown at us every few months the anticipation really isn't there anymore.

Actually, I kinda liked the game, I had fun playing it with some friends, lol. I was just pointing again what Higuy said 'cause if I hated it and I thought there's something "wrong" with the world because it's getting a GOTY edition, knowing that it's a best-seller could only reinforce my theory.

Compared to many other games that came out during that year, the game is complete and utter garbage. It is not innovative, its based off 4 other Halo games already out there, the storyline is nothing really exciting or new (predictable too) and while the fidelity of the graphics was increased, the actual style looks more generic than ever.

Its not DLC it the game with all the current DLC for people who didn't buy it the first time it not for people who all ready have it


I dont even think you understand what i was saying which was a lot of the people on halo maps bag halo 4 and most of them haven't even played it or even have a xbox so i was saying maybe they should get the GOTY edition

when it first came out you bagged all the changes they made like load outs and if they don't make changes you say there not inovating

If I were to try it out, I would have done that by now. I don't need a GOTY edition to coax me into doing that. (Just so you know, I have played Halo 4 already)

Innovation is not guaranteed to be well-received or even necessary.

I prefer Reach, I think it might even have more players than Halo 4(don't quote me on that).

he's right, the population has been increasing, reach is still as strong as windows 7, lol 2 windows references in one post, if I were Microsoft, I would make windows 9 be like windows 7 with more stuff and less power, that way theres more gaming power

season pass doesn't cover all dlc.

it says before you buy it that it only covers the crimson, majestic, and castle map packs and yet all these people ask if it covers the champions bundle.

Yes, It was highly anticipated. But it was a flop; Online population count is lower than any halo game with online had ever gotten to this early in it's lifetime.

i thought reach was horrible for its traits, but now i understand why it was limited in ways on multiplayer, and why the tank was rare, ohhh man halo 4 made me realize halo reach is a saint. and then 343 took away a lot of playlists i liked.... basstards...
