I actually wanted to hear what everyone had to say on that Games for Windows Live post. And to answer an aforementioned question, Xbox ONE reversed every single policy and is en route for a price drop.

I second this, but only for the price drop part (I actually didn't know that). Lemme try to find a source for the policy change

they can drop it all they want, im not getting a console unless theres reverse compatibility, which is why I like our currently available consoles, old spyro and crash for ps, and old halo and unreal for xbox, but shutting down gfwl? my resident evil 5! nooes a lot of people still play pc. and I am satisfied, goodbye

I believe the reverse-compatibility issue is caused by the fact that the xbox 360/ps3 had a powerpc arcitecture while the xbox one/ps4 has an intel x86/x64 architecture. IIRC, both are experimenting with an emulator for older games. But on the bright side, the architecture change makes porting games from pc to console that much easier.

Then find a forum that talks about that stuff. This forum is for Halo ce discussions.
