Quote: --- Original message by: MoosacreAlso I've been working with Blender for about 2 years now, and was interested in moving on to 3ds Max 2014 under a student license is it a difficult program to pick up? Thank you for your time.
Danke, Moosey ~
depends on your intent.
for porting, the older versions are more versatile because Autodesk does not pander to people who devote their usage to ripping outdated models and inserting them into an old engine.
if you are interested in learning advanced animation, modelling, and material construction, then the newer versions of 3dsmax would suit your needs with new features specifically designed for those who take an active interest in intuitive design and animation.
