maps 200 MB FTP File transfer will not work I do got Java HELP Edited by DOOM899 on Aug 7, 2013 at 10:09 AM Uninstall all versions of java. Make sure that your browser is up-to-date (if its not, update it). After updating your browser, download the latest JRE ( Java Runtime Environment) * click here *. Edit01: You must have a readMe file. You should Read this . And your map must be compressed. Download 7-zip (it is free). After installing 7-zip, make folder for your map, and copy the readMe and your map to that folder and compress it with 7-zip to zip file format Edited by afD2345 on Aug 7, 2013 at 02:04 PM

You need to open port 25 in your firewall/Internet security program for FTP transfers.

Why is your map 200MB when compressed? How big is it? The MP limit it 128mb uncompressed and it must be a massive SP map.

Double check that your browser hasn't disabled Java; there's a good chance that it has given all the numerous security scares. Either way, there's no good reason for a website needing Java to allow for file uploads.

Okay. Let's hope it doesn't exception. MP maps over 128 MB have a tendency to exception. Doesn't apply to every map over 128 MB but it happens. 2. A FTP client is used for transferring files in between 2 locations (i.e. a server and a computer) FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. 3. Debatable. Only time will tell... What I was getting at is that there isn't any real reason to use FTP for uploading files from a page. HTTP can handle it just fine too.
