I know this is a noob question but I tried google and the forum search and couldn't find an answer.

I'm talking about the maps found in the Halo 2 Vista section of halomaps.org.

I copy them to Halo 2\maps\ folder, but how do I play the map? With Halo CE, I would just put -developer in the shortcut to haloce.exe, then use ~ and type 'map_name <filename of map>', but this doesn't seem to work for Halo 2.

The map I tried was H2MT S3WAGE PLANT.map. I'm guessing the other maps are for regular campaign or default multiplayer. I played through the campaign a few years ago and I'm curious about the custom maps.

*BTW, you cannot have more then ~48 maps in there or the newest additions will not appear in-game.

I copied the map to the user directory.

But I still don't know how to play such a map as a Single Player (Spartan VS Convenant).

I tried Network and created a Custom match, where it DOES show up in the Custom map list.

But that is Multiplayer competitive only, NOT SINGLE PLAYER.

From inspection, H2MT S3WAGE PLANT.map does look like it was made for MP, despite being tagged as single player on halomaps.org.

That was mislabeled, the only custom single player maps are on that link I posted above, however they are only beta maps and are pretty limited.
