Hello, i wanted to know is it possible to convert halo ce maps to xbox version so i can play split screen? I use the transfer cable to get the cache maps and mod them, so can you replace these maps with custom maps? I tried to use Arsenic but it doesn't seem to work.

ive got the arsenic to compile a map for original xbox but from what ive worked with it has to be a small map with not very many changes. from what ive discovered bitmaps/lightmaps can get messed up in the conversion process. errors can happen frequently with tags that are way different than the original halo ce tags. so its good to keep a backup "xbox" tagset. importing one new tag at a time can be helpful. i dont know however if this even applies to the 360. different console entirely. perhaps its possible but i think wed have to get the map to load and work on the original to even know if the 360 can attempt it. i run into the "dirty disk" error constantly with maps ive compiled that have minimal errors in tags. ive gotten lucky at times however and had the ability to play it on the console, but networking was impossible.

im very lucky to have even found out about arsenic before it was gone entirely. found it on youtube i told my buddies to see what they can find on xbox 1 modding sites. rambo was the first one i told, he told his freinds, etc, and thus the internet search for old arsenic began. i feel like im partly responcible for its return, because i looked everywhere when i found out about custom maps on the xbox. i kept plugging away to find it. weve made many many developments in the game. (cmt stuff, post halo 3 content etc.) this program has been out of the loop sence 2009 but i hope we all can keep developing for it. perhaps a decompilation of the program would be the next route for further development and console modding.
