So, I decided to make a level that uses most of the concepts of the game Reciever. Well, decided is a strong word. I thought about it and how it could be done. Obviously, some of the things about that game can't be reproduced (like how the rooms re-order every time, the random spawn/objective areas, the extremely detailed gun mechanics, etc). But the concepts like spawning with a pistol (is it possible to script it so that you can spawn with one of three starting profiles?), ammo that is spread all around in small amounts (think like, three bullets in a pile), auto turrets and flying taser-bots (pretty much just a melee weapon with no model that has a sparking effect), collecting tapes, low health, etc.
yay or nay? should it be done? would anyone play it?

Well as long as it's fun, done well, and not frustratingly difficult I'm sure people would play it. And that goes for any mod/map.

Do you want whole separate starting profiles, or just a random one of three weapons to spawn with? If it's the latter you can make an item collection with 3 permutations and give each a weight of 33.3, 33.3, and 33.4 respectively. No scripts required.

Well, now that I think about it, I would need whole starting profiles. Most likely 6 so that I can have 2 per pistol- one with higher ammo and one with lower ammo.
