Hey, so I'm a huge n00b when it comes to model extracting. I've downloaded the program Xtraction, and I know how to use it, but I have an issue. How do I get the initial extracts with which to open in Xtraction? Again, I'm quite the n00b when it comes to this stuff, so apologies if I seem like such.

But how would I go about opening them in Xtraction and/or Adjutant? Neither seem to read the files in the folders found in the plugins folder.

Okay, so I've figured out the issue, and got my hands on the mainmenu.map file. Now, I've extracted a model, but I have a new issue. I've looked through the folders, and nowhere have I found any textures for a spartan and/or elite character model. Can anyone help me with that?

change the view type to folder hierarchy in adjutant, then navigate to objects\characters\"character name"\bitmaps from there all the bitmaps pertaining to that character should be contained in that folder

or as an alternate method when going to extract a model there should be an option to export bitmaps. just select a folder to extract to and there ya go.

Make sure to activate "Split Mesh" s that the armor permutations don't all come as one mesh. It's a texturing nightmare.

What? Oo

I don't see a reason to be hostile. Why exactly should I get out?

Ah, but I was talking about the model part of the answer. I have not seen anything about Adjutant no longer needing the "Split Mesh" feature, and my up-to-date Adjutant still requires it, if I don't want everything as one material. (I have read the 40 page release thread on Adjutant V3)

Then I must be missing something.

I'll end the argument at that. No need for us both getting angry over an oversight on my part.
