Hello forum. An issue as arisen with my halo custom edition. When I try to launch it i get Gathering Exception Data error. However if i try to run it three times. The first two always fail but the third time it will work only if I select run in safe mode. I think because I am running it in safe mode is causing the problem that I cannot load my campaign saves.

I need help. I have H3 style campaign installed and a costom ui. Thats all the mods.

I am running Windows 7 home edition 32 bit.

2.2 ghz dual core processor

3 gig of ram

intel GMA 3100 graphics card


I need help URGENTLY I really want to play the modded campaign. Please does anyone have a solution?

EDIT:That made no difference. I still get the error.

I heard that Open Sauce can cause this for some, but you didn't say you had it. Hmmm...not sure.

I suggest starting with a clean hce, and adding 1 map at a time and starting it up, until the error occurs, then you know the troublemaker.

The biggest problem is that you are trying to play a crappy mod.

I figured out the problem yesterday. Something in my halo folder was corrupt. All the H3 campaign maps where good(thank god). Something else was amiss. I do not know what.

My advice is to do what stevedoggen said. Which had I read it in time it would have saved me a lot of time, had I not gone ahead and figured it out myself.


But, I still cant load my saves. When I click campaign the only option I have is New Game. When I click Continue nothing happens and Load Game is faded and you cant click it either. Can anyone help?

do you use a controller? Im asking because my game crashes most of the time when I load a single player map while using my xbox controller
