Halo 2 HD anniversary is in development! Hope forward to see it soon! Maybe they'll release it in 2014 as the 10th anniversary of Halo 2? What's Encouraging them more, is that in all the forums related to this, there are many users are willing to give away all the money Halo 2 HD anniversary's price will take away, even if it's a $1000!

1) The latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine UK says that 343 Industries, maker of 2 years ago's Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (and, of course, last year's all-new Halo 4), has similar plans for Halo 2. "Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary," the magazine says in its rumors section. No sourcing or other details are given.

There are some sources that suggest H2 HD A is not being made, but more accurately it suggest it is not being made "yet", that too before the release of halo 4, when 343i was fully focused on making H4. But maybe, now they might bring up H2A in 2014, and as Microsoft tells 343i to keep a 2-year gap between games, we may get Halo 5 in 2015/16 if H2A is made, else just look forward to continuation of Reclaimer "saga". Keep searching and updating this forum. Look forward to a great future of Halo Games of Xbox 720.

I doubt they're going to make it.

They're already pre-occupied with Halo 5 and 6

I think I've seen that picture before somewhere too..

A. A chimpanzee with basic English skills would be able to read the description of that video

B. Halo Anniversary was fail because it was just a graphical update with extra features, that is not a remastering, let alone a remake.

More of a rehash.

C. Not only was that part of the Magazine in the "Rumors and Speculation" section, but to add to that, it was published in July of 2012.

Seriously? ANOTHER F**ing Halo!? LET IT DIE ALREADY!! I understand if they're going to remake the older Halos with better graphics and what not. Halo 5!? like I said before. LET THE SERIES DIE!! It's had it's time. The ship had already set sail a LONG time ago. Let it go!! :-/ Reach was it for me. MAYBE Halo 4. Didn't play Halo 4 yet, but it's supposed to be a continuation of Halo 3. Can't say much because I never touched Halo 4.

OP's image is a simple fake.

one of the main setoffs that the cover is fake is that the halo 3 model is clearly being used and, with the awkward normals and jagged edges, means a messed-up render was used. whoever made that is really terrible at what they were trying to do.

HD Main menu video uploader clearly states that it was fanmade...

I don't know about the cover (it does look pretty slick), but the YouTube video of the MainMenu is an obvious fake and it says as much in the comments.

Why wouldn't the remake H2 is a better question. So many players have been asking for it and 2 was a series favorite of many competitive players so they better get the MP right. Probably just be tacked on Halo 4 or 5 MP maps anyways like Anniversary was just Reach MP maps.

Who says it sucked? Story was really good, just i didn't like the new armour, except for the helmet. I think Halo 5 will be even better than this.

general rule of thumb, don't believe everything on the internet. yes, halo 5 will be in dev, no, they are not working on halo 2 anniversary and they never announced that they were.

Hey guys I had told you to update this news and you didn't so I received info from my friend who is real close to 343i and Microsoft and when I asked him he said this:
"Well they wanted to make it, they really had the idea, but now they are busy in forerunner saga so they're NOT MAKING IT NOW, besides microsoft has told them to keep a 2 year gap between games, and if they release Halo 2 A we will only get Halo 5 in maybe 2015 or 16, and they are more excited for forerunner saga i.e. halo 5 and 6, so maybe they're not gonna make H2A but maybe they can have a change of plan anytime or they might make it later(not likely)."

Halo 5 and 6 are no surprise to anyone in existence, except apparently you. See here is how trilogy's work: they come in sets of three. I think your troll-face is showing.

Your Photoshop cover is not too bad, but I would suggest never putting text directly over the main character's face.

Very little editing of the H2 screenshot.

Well it was my first time. I just learned about photoshop, so I'm not a master in it, but thanks for the reviews. At least I learnt from it the mistakes I made and can fix them in future.
any tips on how to make it look reallistic like the one at the top of the first post? BTW where did he get that updated halo font? I searched and just got the font which was used in Halo 1-3 and another for the word "ODST" and the logos of "Bungie" and "343 Industries", i.e. Denmark font.



Thanks for the advice. Considering that, I made another on Halo 5 thinking of what its story might be. At first i was going to put Cortana instead of Dr. Halsey, but i thought it would be too wrong considering the ending of Halo 4. But i couldn't get her looking right in the image, especially her finger.

TO COMMENT! PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO COPY PASTE CHARACTERS FROM ONE IMAGE TO ANOTHER WITHOUT GETTING THOSE JAGGED WHITE EDGES! I USED THE MAGNETIC LASSO TOOL YET THIS THING HAPPENS! ARGH!

The technique i use is:
1) Take a pic and crop it down in paint so it's edges fit the xbox strip.
(I add the xbox strip first so it is easy to drag the edges to make it small enought so there's no space aside the xbox strip.)
2) I add the image in photoshop, and then paste all the logos and the characters(Master Chief, Dr Halsey, etc.) and the ESRB ratings.
3)I save it, open it in MS Word and using word art, I make the halo logo and position it somewhere on the image.
4) I take 2 screenshots, 1 of the upper half and one of the lower half(since the full image doesn't fit in my laptop screen)
5) I paste both the Images in Paint again and align them to make them look like one pic again, and save it and upload it.
IF ANY MISTAKES IN MY METHOD, I WOULD BE REALLY GRATEFULL TO KNOW FROM YOU.
