So i want to be able to see where the mass points are on a vehicle with custom physics, so that i can precisely create them, but i don't know the command to put in to show them (or if such a thing even exists :P) So i was wondering if anyone could tell me how to do this?

You would do that in max since that's where you create them, but whatever,
debug_objects true
debug_objects_physics true

'cause i tried making a physics model in max and exporting it. But when i try opening it in guerilla it crashes, nothing in debug either :P So i'm going about it through making it entirely in guerilla.(i know, terrible idea. but i'm good at it :3 Lol)

Anyway. Thank you, Kirby the great.

Wait, how do you know you are good at it if you've never been able to see the physics before? :s

Never been able to see the mass points* i redid the fusion coils from valhalla's physics this way and they turned out wonderful. Lol. So now i'm trying it for this vehicle. Btw, it's the soccer ball. I noticed after i posted that it was complete in the foundry thread that knocking it around the physics weren't smooth enough for my liking, so i'm redoing them. If anyone has a link to a physics modeling tutorial that works, that'd speed things up. But what i'm finding and fallowing isn't showing me why it's crashing Sapien :/

Wouldn't a soccer ball just be a single mass point?

tried that, trust me it wasn't pretty. It skipped and bounced around like crazy, and then launched 90 feet o_o...

Round stuff like that wouldn't really roll properly in halo ce. I guess you can surround the soccerball with mass points, but I'm not too sure how well that would work.

I think later halo games implemented HAVOK's physics set instead of using Bungie's 11 year old physics engine.

Remember master chief him self is stronger than average person if you used a marine or the serge biped they might not hit it so hard. Every biped has different strengths. Sometimes getting physics just right for mc is impossible on an object Because mc is always the same. I was doing physics for a car one time and trying to make it a stunt vehicle and mc marine and serge all drive it differently. It turned out that the only driver capable of stunts was the serge for some reason that biped had perfect driving skill. Mainly because of his wait. with him + car = like so menny pounds. but if the biped is sarge then biped + car less pounds. so car drives faster jumps higher. and so forth. I know all this dosent realy apply to what your doing but physics can be a pain sometimes. to get right. people seem to think alot of thangs arent possible in ce but thay are just takes more tweeking and work and if you cant get it just right thares always script's!

Also if you get it working maby you could make it a biped and we could have like marble madness levels. XD

the ball in haloball doesn't even work really well to be honest. It doesn't roll at all, it just glides across the map.

You're wrong, not to be rude but i just i just did it. Lol. The physics are beautifully working, and are now ready to be sent. Video coming soon.

Well then good for you, i never said it was impossible. All I said was that its hard to work with halo ce physics.

He never said it wouldn't roll, he just implies it wouldn't be perfect (since really, unless its one mass point, it will never be a perfect sphere, etc)

Lol, it just seemed to me like he was saying that it wasn't possible to make it look remotely smooth.
