Importing Didney.wrl...

I'm running a windows 8 pc, and attempted to run Aether from my HaloCE directory. The program always gives me an "Unhandled exception" error when I try to extract the BSP.

Same with the Bitmap Extractor when I try to extract the bitmaps.

I installed another installation of Aether from my desktop. This one just gives me the generic " X has stopped working" error message.

Any ideas?

I am unsure about your error with aether.
You have tried using the bsp tag convertor? http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=2029
If nothing works for you, i would be willing to extract the bsp for you.

Thanks for your reply, I do have that installed, and it does work, but when I open it up, some materials/textures are in the wrong place. I figured that I should just use Aether instead, as I heard it extracts the BSP with these textures in their correct places.

I know there's a material fixing script that comes with the converter, but it simply does not work on gmax, throwing me a "ShowInViewport" error (I'll be more specific and provide screens of these errors if needed).

Yes, I know that I should just get 3Ds Max student edition. Believe me, I'd love to. But autodesk doesn't want to give me a serial number, for whatever reason.
