As a hello-world deal to the site, I thought of creating a non-monetized application for the Ipod Touch/Iphone that would lead the users to this Website's forums and allow them to post on the go. Of course, there would be immediate issues like the sizing of the site and things like that but I'm sure that someone could find a way around it. As aforementioned in the topic's title, I am not requesting for someone to create this as I do not expect people to be up to the challenge without substantial evidence that It can be done in the first place. Rather, this can be considered a kick-starter, as I am simply circulating the idea into the forums for open discussion. Also, bringing in Iphone applications into the equation could also revolutionize the way the users communicate with each other. Imagine, a live text-chat client run through the application or the site, itself? Tasks could be carried out much faster than before due to never having to refresh the page or the chat-box to check for new messages and it could also serve as a way to keep the users well-acquainted and could even pave way for more co-operation among the forum, itself.
Before I get responses regarding my experience, I'll list a few things I've done that could be considerably helpful.

• I understand coding languages such as C, C++, Hexadecimal (including CoderPR, NightPR, DarkFrost on the Psp.)


• I have experience as an admin on multiple websites (Mostly forums)


• I thoroughly understand the license agreements for Apple for partnerships and App Development and am knowledgeable on how to do so.

And.. That's pretty much it. Feel free to comment below and such.

Your HCE work has not been much benefit to a significant amount of people, does that make it unjustifiable?

I'm pretty sure for something for this to work, Dennis would have to make changes to the way the forum is set up. I use tapatalk app for several forums I visit on my iPad, which is really nice but I don't think it's compatible with this type of forums.

Also, while the regular forums aren't ideal for touch, they still function perfectly fine on my iOS and WP devices. (which can't be said for all websites)

The main problem with that is that the site is not exactly pre-scaled to fit the screen of the ipod. The resolution itself is shrunk rather than the screen, itself, being zoomed in. Of course, you can zoom in on the website but leisure comes first when it comes to the design of the app. I'm sure someone might appreciate having an application tailored specifically for the Ipod/Iphone screens rather than having to zoom it back in, every time the screen loads.

If this ever does get made... Please make an iPad compatible version, I usually only use the forums on iPad, and I don't have no iPodness.
