After a few hours looking up how to script, and a skim read of the Halo Scripting Bible, and I have a few questions as to whether a few of the ideas it has given me can even be done.

but to sum up for those who wont look at my questions with supporting arguements, my 3 questions were these 1. Can you make a working halo 3 score counter for multiplayer (in halo 3, its in the bottom right of the HUD)? Even if it's basic? 2. Since the game registers as to how much damage is applied for each gun or explosion, can that cause of death be determined, and therefore create messages like joe splattered Frank and so forth? also medals, regardless of their redundantcy. 3. Either use an external application (there are some for that), or use OpenSauce, and check each player's kills. For displaying, you can either use print and inspect statements (always on left side), or cinematic titles. 2. Best to go for external applications again. Anyways, OS, grab the recent_damage.unit# and that will tell it who hurt them recently. Then, check the person who killed them's weapons. The messages you print won't have player names though. If you make up named AI though, you can list what AI did to murder each other since those AI are going to be preset ahead of time. 3. Sure, you can easily have a check that if someones the driver for a biped, if they are, kill the biped then kick the driver out.

Neat. I was planning (as unlikely as it sounds for a newb) to maybe make a working 1 and 2 myself, although I'm sure someone will beat me to the mark. PS Thanks everyone, and Kirby for linking those two pages - VERY helpful
