I went to try and open my map (mombassa rp v4 mod) to edit itand i got this error

Check your animations.

In an animations file, a third block is being referenced

when only two exist

Some animations tags are corrupted when extracted, like

-The CMT SPV2 elites, brutes and hunters
-343 guilty spark

if they are in the map you'll have to replace the tags by stock ones, or find ones working

Which is why you should -never- overwrite tags with Hek+.

Did he say he overwrote anything ? He's just trying to open a map he just extracted, the corrupt tags may not be stock tags, I just said he might be able to replace the ones i mentionned with stock tags

No it wont, it will only corrupt certain parts. Unless you just recursively extract a .scenario you won't corrupt your WHOLE tagset, and even then, you would only corrupt it if ALL the tags were bad.

HEK+ has an option to save an extracted tag list every time you extract something, so just keep those somewhere that you can refer to if you ever extract a corrupt tag. You can then narrow down your search for the corrupt tag.
