Which is pointless since it's supposed to be the end of the world. If it's the end of the world, not much point in trying to hide or protect yourself. You're just doomed. Unless it's a zombie apocalypse of course. In which case, you don't need to spend money on 'survival gear'. It'll be useless in the long term. Just learn how to build your own gear out of random materials.

Anyway, this seems interesting.
A Bloodgulch mod that... makes Bloodgulch mods look like uh... non-Bloodgulch mods?

No its not a blood gulch mod, its a entirely new blood gulch. I posted some pictures of the new middle and the bases.

you can hardly call it a BG mod, when everything in it is custom

Base looks incredibly impractical, but the trench looks beautiful.

we certainly need to see maps with more focus on terrain

the structures can look nice, but usually, the terrain lacks in detail compared to the rest of the map

how do the bases look impractical?
(though the notch in the base ceiling does seem like a waste of polygons)

Looks awesome and it's good that you have those posts in front so you can't drive a vehicle in there. Looks awesome, man!

Dang it, with the addition of the pillars outside the entrances of the base i can't cram a warthog all the way through the base and grab the flag and then out the other side like i used to do all the time : ( Jk jk, i only did the to troll the other players and tick them off. The bases look really nice, though. It's like a more modern, up-scale version of the old bloodgulch bases. The only thing i will say is that i would turn the skylight in the top so that the notch faces where the banshee is. kind of like it's pointing to the teleporter. Idk, it's up to you, that's just my opinion.

Edit: Haha, Corvette19 beet me to it XD

I think the bases have too much cover on the top, and on the exit of the structures. Imagine trying to back in or leave the base entrances, if your attention gets diverted to an event then you'll quickly find yourself running into these bits of cover, which would cause frustration.
I'd recommend removing 2 or 3 of the tiny pillars at the base entrance, and remove about half of the cover bits ontop (or just make them smaller).

I'd make the cover taller, but narrower

rails are a no-go, when it comes to mobility

The rails are going to be scenery so we can leave them on or take them off when ever. Plus its looks nice and the it doesn't hinder mobility because the front isn't blocked on top and they can be easily jumped over, as with the front pillars its to keep vehicles out, there about 1 1/2 players intervals so there's enough room to go in and out with out much blocking the player. The terrain isn't final as far as we know since were still getting the overall map design done.

I think for a map like this CMT tagset would be best.
Getting kinda sick of the Halo 3 ones...

I'd go with either CMT-SPV3, original Halo, or even a Firefight-Descent style tag.

Halo 3... Let's be honest, it can be a pain to look at that layout.

1. This obviously isn't made by CMT.
2. SPv3 means "Single Player Version 3". This is a Multiplayer map. You do the maths.

So it's a CMT map then.
It does fit the "let's remake a ton of existing maps" motto!
