Anyone know how or where I can find a good, new game computer for cheaps? For he most part I just want one that is really compatible, not a laptop and can run CE with OS at a minimum of 5.2 billion FPS.

Building it yourself is cheapest, and offers the most flexibility.

For the most part I can read and understand the specs, but I probably wouldn't be able to see if there were a trick of a bottleneck somewhere. Can you tell me WHY I should get this one? Besides the too good to be true price of course.

I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT, so I also want it to be useful for that too. Real talk.

(personal preference)

500GB+ SSD
GeForce 650+
2.6Ghz+ intel i7
1GB+ VRAM (caution, the more VRAM you have, the faster your computer will burn out)

those are my laptop specs anyway, and I can run OS just fine.

after 500GB, SSD gets really expensive, but definitely go SSD, it runs cooler, corrupts less, runs faster, etc.

Sigh. A 4TB SSD costs almost nothing here. I keep a couple spare too.

It can run Crysis 2 at max with the HD texture pack, and modified DX11, so power isn't really a problem

$3,000 , but only because it is a Mac w/ retina
you could probably build one for cheaper

can I have a link to H3 PC? please?

I don't know the first thing about building computers though, I'm afraid I'd leave out important components. I can't install the software like windows myself.

I might end up just going I best buy and picking out the best computer I see. Anyone else got suggestions?

Google it. If you need any help, let me know, I've been doing it for the better part of the last 5 years.

Seems good to me. I don't want to spend more than 800 though, I'd prefer to spend about 500 - 600.

This one seems good too, but the Intel graphics and one CPU worries me.

haha nope.
NVIDIA>AMD (yes, I've used both)
you want SSD
USB 3.0 is better
16GB RAM is better
WIN8 is not backwards compatible (as far as I am aware)
everything else seems ok

Price vs Quality, Quality vs Price.

AMD is the best bang for your buck if you are trying to save money.

I have a GTX 580, but I only bought it because I had a lot of money during the time. Hell, I plan on getting a second one, but that is only when games become a bit harder to run. Right now, I can run any game on Max Settings without a problem. I'd probably buy another if I get a monitor larger than 1080p, or 3D.

1. Budget side, AMD's better by far. High-end side, Nvidia's better by a bit.
2. Yeah, agreed on that. SSDs are the future, though they don't help at all with most games.
3. Depends whether you're actually using external devices and whether you're doing large transfers. USB 3's fast yeah, but useless if you're not using large storage devices.
4. Depends what you're doing again. Any more than 4GB RAM is useless for most games, but of course a great help for 3D modelling or anything development side.
5. What do you mean? Windows 8 has better backwards compatibility than Windows 7 or Vista. Only thing is you should get the release preview and try it in Virtualbox first if you can. It's not to everyone's tastes. (I'm using it atm though and it's awesome imo)
