So youtube now allows us to stream so for next year we might do that. I'll check with M16 on what to do and we'll do a few tests. I do like how you can rewind if you want as well as choose multiple qualities

Not a clue. Probably no ads since we aren't a youtube partner... I think that's how it works.

I take that back. Youtube says we're a "partner" but we do not have monetizing on so yeah

Just curious, is it possible to do input source changes with the YouTube livestream feature? (i.e. -switching between a prerecorded livestream and content that's actually live)

The player is 100% just like Ustreams. So in terms yes, but the problem is we can't rewind on the livestream at all. So once you click play on the livestream, it goes non-stop. You can always restart it from the beginning but yeah

But this is mostly up to M16. I like it better because
-So far no ads
-Multiple Qualities (Ustream only did this year because I had a trail for Ustream Pro)
-DVR during stream
-Immediately can be edited and posted on youtube

Disadvantage
-A bit of a setup
-The chat box is delayed and does not update up to speed (could just disable and use the old one that we had)

Not to mention that you need a YouTube/Google account to use the chat here, and (it looks like) we have more admin controls and design freedom with Chatwing (last year's provider)...

But I'm actually gonna put my vote on using both chatboxes; since this is YouTube, there's a good chance that new visitors will look at the YouTube livestream instead of the CE3 site directly.

Just in case that happens (and we won't be able to embed the chatbox -it'd just be too tedious for the viewer to click a link and go to the CE3 site from there instead), I think we should keep people's options open and use both. What do you think?

But closing the youtube chat will force people to go to the chatwing and be present in that chat.

We'll do polls for it I guess. And I'll pay a whole 3 dollars to get rid of all the chatwing logos all of that box. Can be annyoing

Hello everyone, Slow Bullet here. The other day I was on CE3's channel looking around at old videos and podcasts. While doing that I noticed the subscriber counter. We have 811 Subscribers. I feel so bad that I did not know this earlier. Drat also posted showing Ustream mentioned us in a tweet. Yet we were not aware of any of this.

The point I'm trying to get is, I'm sorry guys. I haven't been able to make CE3 what I've dreamt it of. My plan for CE3 was to make it a huge hit and show off the game and community of Halo Custom Edition. But how can I do that when I ignore our subscribers, sponsors, and etc...

This is just letting you guys know I want to try harder, I want to make CE3 the Best I can. from now on your opinions on the show and HMU series are number 1 on my list. What ever you say I'll respond. I want to let you guys, the fans and audience be apart of CE3.

Every year I always tell people they can be on the show if they have content to show off. But what about the people who want to partake but have nothing? It hit me like a ton of bricks. One of the main reasons I made this show was I can't bring anything towards this game. The only thing I had going was my voice at the time. So if one of you guys made CE3 before Dratt and I, I would not be able to be apart of it. Pretty hypocritical I know.

So I want to make this channel your channel too. Once again I'm sorry guys it's been 4 years and I have been very selfish, all I cared was about making the videos on time and making CE3 better for you guys. But I never did once to stop and thank you and listen to your guys' opinions.

So I'm going to try harder, and better to make CE3 world wide popular.

We've tried getting big halo names to take a look at us, the only person who has noticed us is The Halo Follower.

I think the best hope for getting Rooster Teeth to review something in Halo: Custom Edition would be for someone to make a good Red vs Blue-based single player level using dialogue from the series.

From 2010-2012 we were more focused on actually getting the show to quality standards. In 2013, the advertisement was kinda outsourced and even then - there was never a really good point for new people to kinda just 'jump' into a CE3 show.

This year we plan to offer more information for new people and are gonna try to get the show out there way more. We have plenty of great content (just look at pretty much any CE3), it's just a matter of how do we show off that this is what we can do BEFORE the actual show so people will attend.

Ironically one of the most viewed videos on the channel is the h4 battle creek map

Whoowee, Dratt is makin BANK. I oughtta change my career path and start making YouTube videos for a living - it's the only way to make money in good ol' capitalist America!

CE3 doesn't make any profit. All of that money is from content ID advertisement.
