Quick question for the community:

Are there any Firefight maps in progress that are for-sure getting released soon?
The reason I ask is I'm putting together a UI with a menu for a selection of Firefight maps, and I need to know if maps such as Sector 9 and the like are still in the works. I need replies as soon as possible.

I stopped working on Sector 9... I'll probably use it in something different.

Oh that looks marvelous!

I bet if I applied my HUD experience to UI widgets I could do something cool too...

Will it be released soon? I would really like to use those bitmap/widgets for Foundry's pause menu.

Yeah, I'm hoping to finish it up sometime in the next week or so. I got a crap-ton done on it today after work, so it's way further than I had expected it to be right now.

I exploited some of the menus with scripting, so you will get difficulty selection when you select a firefight map, just like in the campaign menu.

I was working on Installation 04 firefight (as seen from HCEA). Idk when i'll get that out there though, but if you insist, the file name is F04

Reawakening is the new name for Rerout's "Toten Nacht" zombie survival map, which has been undergoing a good deal of work after its jumpstart back in the summer.

How far along is it? I could swap out ODST Ascension for it if it is better than it.

I made two in the past, ascension and solitude. Ascension never made it anyone, solitude is finished

Sure. What's the outlook on possible release timeframe?
I might have to replace Reawakening due to it being an OS map and technically not Halo firefight.

The UI is pretty much finished now; all I need is the map names themselves for each of these levels, since I unfortunately don't have good enough internet at the moment to download them myself.

If anyone could help me out on this, 'twould be much appreciated.

I wanted to keep the classic Halo feel intact while adding in the new stuff.
I can't do anything super extravagant anyways due to tag space. After cutting down on some of the bitmaps sizes in the bsp, I was able to bring the map size to 34.98MB... .02MB under Tool's limit.

The main purpose of this small project is to bring more attention to the Firefight maps community members have been / are making. I still believe that it's a category deserving of recognition on HaloMaps, and hopefully one day we could see a Firefight option on hce.halomaps.org.
