There is a particular weapon that I am working on that needs some small text and various images on parts of it. I generally put these types of things into the texture, but I have heard from others that I would be able to get better quality and resolution on these small details if I used decals instead.
So my questions is this: How do I use decals to put small details onto my weapon. (The only decals I have worked with before are impact decals and not even much of that, I don't know how to place a decal as a permenant part of some object.)
Thanks -Yoda

Quote: --- Original message by: waffles Its not exactly the same as the .decal tag, its a simple as placing a plane(shaped around your geometry) on your weapon with the texture uv'ed/etc. A decal is just a piece of flair that is painted/stuck on a surface, not really specific to halo. Ahh, Thank you. lol, that makes a lot more sense. I couldn't figure out how halo decals could possibly be used that way.
