hello, howdy, hi, this thread is to anounce and show my halo-ween project, SlenderHalo heres a preview.

I had this idea stashed up for months, but i never really did mush with it. now haloween is over its not gonna be long until the new maps are uploaded so... feedback and who wants beta. ill be releasing beta version 3.00 and onwards to the 5 peeps who pm me first.

(and thanks Kirby_422, for some scripting help).

Up to beta 2.5, I might release it as a beta instead of waiting for beta 3.00, I added pages and screwed up the fog, can someone plz help me add fog? In stealth I did it on accident.

EDIT: I have the sounds that Mr. Dratt suggested but I don't think I will the time to finish the rest of what I have to do before the halo-ween stuff is updated to the site. Maybe a late submission will have to do.
Mah to-do list.
-convert the sounds into a usable format. (Easy but will take a while)
-implement the sounds using scripts. (10 minute job)
- add fog. (Someone help please)
- finish pages. (1 hour at least)
- script for finishing the game (quick job)
- mess with ai tags a bit more (for finishing touches)

I got so mush homework to do aswell (which is the main cause of this prosponing )

Yeah sure, but first I need to fix the textures. Ill give them after I release the map. And thanks for the suggestion (if you look in all the videos mr slendy is behind you the whole time. (Not any more though))

Btw just to note that the map is so close to completion and I don't think there will be time for a beta. Sorry.

EDIT: as progress was going well and i was nearly at completion when suddenly... i decided to fix something (where slendy wouldnt follow you unless you were directly in front of his) so i made him all seeing and now... well... he now just stands there, in the middle of the forest. anyone plz help!!??!!?!

I extracted the slendy ai from an earlier version (before I changed the name to SlenderHalo). Now just need to polish add fog and finish the script to allow you to finish the level.

EDIT- ill upload a video to YouTube when I get home (after I record it)

For the fog just edit the sky tag, its pretty easy.

When it's done... And polished.

EDIT: BTW, I editted the .sky tag (well made a new one without a model or anims) then added indoor fog and a range ect. but it didnt work D: )

For the fog just set the outdoor start and end distances to something small, add color and set destiny to something high.

And is that bump map on the grass shader? i think you should increase the bump map scale.

Fog done, bump map done.... Script to complete the game... In progress. :D

Things with fog now are looking beyond my plans to make this map sexy and scary. After the script ill add sounds and make a video... I do that a lot these days. :D

EDIT - 1 more thing to do after I port he pages from weapons to grenades... How do I refer to my grenade count in a script... I just surfed the BSL bible on modacity.

EDIT 2 - nvm, all fixed... Script done, fog done, pages 100% done, bump map done. Map polishing... In progress

EDIT 3 - ah, help i screwed up a script and the level cant be completed (ie. i have 8 grenades and only 2 slots, can i do it with trigger volumes??? weapons??? pie???)

Can you describe how you want to play? you just pass by every set location to win?

If you want them to go places in order, just make it one startup script for everything and ignore the progress global.

If you want them to do it by grenades, (unit_get_total_grenade_count <unit>), you can increase maximum grenade counts in globals.globals, but progress by grenades... you don't want them throwing progress around to kill enemies.

I did a similar thing but I don't know what went wrong and it didn't register :( but I put all the trigger volumes in a row just to test it and it never worked. I did the same with your script just now and it worked, thanks! :D

I thought would be easier. But I don't know what it means by <object_definition>, is that the name of the weapon (its actual name (the file)). Or the "given name" to the weapon (I place the object and name it "collect_me_and_you_win_1")

That's an object name. You want an object definition. Basically, it's the tag filename, iirc.

Well none of these methods worked so i have made a new... Really complicated one.
When I collect a page it kills a hidden encounter and once once all the encounters have died... Slendy dies and then it sleeps for 15 seconds slowly fading to black then saying congrats ect. And game_won. :D

and btw... i finished that way it all worked. i kept a manual debug entry to make sure everything worked in game but... it no worky. heres the script...

Credits: ODST_Nick - Re-drawing them using graphics tablet.
Parsec Productions - Making the Slender Game.

Note: Only page one is set up. The other pages's shaders are set up, but they dont have bitmaps in them. The ingame bitmaps are located in the tags\RZS_Halo\slender_pages\bitmaps folder. The RAW .tifs are located in Data\RZS_Halo\slender_pages\bitmaps folder.

ODST_Nick, can I use your tags for the pages plz? mine absolutely suck.

@licon - It is a remake of slender, you dont need weapons, but if you want to wreck the gameplay just do...

cheat_all_weapons

and you will have access to my secret gun, seen in stealth!_v2 and the video "Fun with slenderhalo''.

@thekid999 - there is already walking sounds in halo, but I can make it so you walk and when you hold ''crouch button'' you sprint. (changing walking and crouching height and speed)

andywhoms, its not dead! :D
