I've had a map or two compile in sounds from the sounds folder that I didn't use in the actual map.

Maybe removing sounds you don't use from sounds folder can help with tagspace?

Would you risk using Tool Pro?

You've used it before.

And I learned not to.

It once completely screwed up my PC, and if you want to see the faults, go look at Sandtrap.

No problem on my end.

Don't know why people say that it's so bad.

Maybe I haven't used it long enough to see it's effects on the PC but I haven't see anything out of the ordinary.

It's one of the reason's sandtrap exceptions.

Yeah, it couldn't have anything to do with the errors it causes in maps, or so many maliciously virused versions of it passed around that will eat your computer :|...

Oh rly.

I think it's kind of related to how much you go over the limit. I don't usually go more than 50 MB over the limit.

It porked my old computer once. I had to reformat it, and I was lucky enough to be able to get it working just once so that I could back up my files.

why not RAID your next rig?

that should help with long term content making :D

EDIT> ...yes with small cheap drives as to keep up with affordability(it's not like you can have infinitely-sized tagsets anyway)

A Redundant Array of Independent Discs, I think it's a way of keeping your data as redundant as possible(incase one or more of your harddrives die) that requires 2 or more of the same harddisk to mirror your data.

And don't ask me how to do it because I don't know how(maybe in a week or so, just ordered a harddrive to try this, lol)

I think it would be better just to have extra hard drives and USBs with backups stored in them.

My nit pick bug list as of right now-
-stair steps need detail map
-the semi-truck's windshield needs to be transparent glass
-yellow square tile shader_env needs detail map that matches nonyellow counterparts
-no hud meter for flashlight usage
-turn right, going forward with the forklift- the front wheels incorrectly steer left
-the grate shader_env is blocking all radiosity light from reaching behind it, causing what's behind it to be very dark
-fancy postgame carnage report mb?
-when playing classic snipers, you're supposed to start with a sniper, not a BR
-BRs can be seen all over the level as pickup weapons in classic snipers or rockets
-the fans arent there if you play classic snipers or rockets
-the pipes outside need smoothing
-the oddball's ground point is very wrong
-the oddball is way too shiny, tone down the reflectivity; dont use gunmetal cube
-the KOTH scrolling shader is H1

this list is absolutely final. we need a good postgame carnage report background.

The map is currently compiling at 127.98 MB (limit is 128MB.)

I added an LOD model to the large truck and updated the glass to be transparent.

-turn right, going forward with the forklift- the front wheels incorrectly steer left
only back wheels are supposted to turn as far as i remember
-when playing classic snipers, you're supposed to start with a sniper, not a BR
try changing position of that weapon in globals to match the h1 sniper position there

In H3, they don't move, but yeah, modern forklifts have rear steering

I don't want to add a meter for a flashlight, It should be infinite anyway.

Funny rigging error with the forklift (which is what I get for trying to fix the wheels.)

save that, whenever it does/if it does get fixed you can hide that in there as the easter egg "DerpLift"

New H3 styled KOTH shader.

I downloaded the base bitmap from the website here, and I created a new bitmap to use for scrolling along the base map like H3.

I also fixed a few detail map errors (the containers had the wrong one being used inside.)
