Here they are-- the majority of the UNSC weapon sounds from Halo: Reach, created by Bungie and recorded by me (I couldn't/didn't get some of them due to how other sounds cut in/how the Spartan laser has the exact same charging and firing sounds as in Halo 3).

I edited these myself, but I got some indirect help from Jesse (he cleaned up the background noise from some of the CEA sounds I"m working on, which made me try to find out how to do it myself). Anyway, these are now ~90% noise-free, and what little noise is in some of them is too minute to significantly affect the quality of the sound during gameplay.

Help with learning about sound tags: Higuy
Video I recorded sounds from: Shockwave M33
If I forgot anyone, I apologize.

Yes, I know, firing the assault rifle fully automatically sounds weird. I don't know why it does this, and I'll try to address this in a future release (hopefully with the remaining few of the UNSC sounds).

if you have the game (which I dont) a common technique for reliably getting the sounds is going into forge mode, finding a quiet map/spot, use a recording device, and firing once/all bullets, waiting 2 seconds, reloading, etc. this way, all sounds are easily retrieved without too much background noise.

That's essentially what I did with Shockwave's video, except he had it already made by the time I started looking for one like it.

plasma weapons plz, the plasma sounds always sound more interesting than the human guns.

No, dennis' forum software removes the semicolon on links.
