Hey everyone I am pretty darn new at modding especially for halo custom edition. So far I have programs Guerrilla and Tool++.
I am trying to change and add some sounds in the game and I'm having trouble using some of the programs like tool++, any suggestions?

you need to convert your sounds into a .wmv, other than that, idk.

I never figured out how to use Tool++.You can tell me.
Well,to compile new sounds, you should have it in a folder called data, which should be in the same place as your tags folder. Then, use some version of Tool (preferably Tool_Pro or Tool),and type in something like this: tool sounds revswitch\sounds Or like this tool sounds (insert directory of raw sound files) You don't need to put (Halo CE directory)/data/(sound file directory here)
Editing sounds using the HEK produces some weird results and does more harm than good,in my experience.

I made a folder in data "Sounds/weapons/pistol/(whatever sound file)" can I get Tool Pro on this site? I noticed the .sound files in the tags section, does Guerrilla changes all sound files to that?

Tool converts sounds and everything from data folder to tags so they could be used in game. Guerilla doesnt change file types, but you can create and modify tags in there.
To make sounds you have to export your sound file to .wav and enter command in tool "tool sounds <directory and file name> ogg 1" Then in tags folder new sound file should appear.

Why dont you watch some tutorials?
Anyway find cmd.exe (its somewhere in windows folder i guess) and copy it to your halo ce directory. Instead of running tool always run cmd.

I have only downloaded custom maps (and stuff from CMT svp2/3) into halo ce. I haven't made anything on my own and I am learning how to.

Then sounds shouldnt be the first thing you do. You should learn how to use sapien and guerilla first. Also read the HEK tutorial which is in your halo ce directory.

oh okay, yea i've been experimenting with and looking at tutorials for guerilla lately. But about the tool.exe every time I open it, it shows a ton of commands and then closes right away. Do you know what the problem is or is there something I'm not doing right?

As i told you before, you dont have to open tool.exe itself. You need to use cmd.exe and write "tool" in the beginning of every command so cmd runs the tool. Tool itself wont do anything.
